The ♥ Behind Mother Declutter
Hollie Gilmore is the creator, owner and heart behind Mother Declutter. She is a Professional Organizer, Declutter Expert, Estate Liquidator, Antique and Vintage Collectibles Appraiser, Marketing Specialist, Motivational Life Coach, and Entrepreneur.
Hollie's husband (Butch) is the one who thought of the name, Mother Declutter. He is her husband, best friend, and business partner. Butch is also an Antique and Vintage Collectibles Appraiser, Estate Liquidator, Restoration Specialist, and Entrepreneur. Their big hearts, along with the zeal and passion they have for what they do, make them a great team. |
Behind their teamwork are their biggest supporters, their three amazing children. They have all contributed in various ways and given a lot of time, love, hands-on volunteering, and tremendous support. The strong family unit and bond they share, as well as their faith in God, are the bricks on which the foundation of Mother Declutter was built.
Hollie's passion and energy are evident through her actions, various interests, and the businesses she owns. She has been a business owner for over fourteen years and has built long-lasting friendships with many of her customers and clients.
Prior to venturing out as a business owner, she worked in the medical field for over 13 years with her main focus being in the areas of cardiac, surgical intensive care, and neuro-intensive care. While working at the hospitals, not only did she provide compassionate and quality care to her patients, she also created a computer-based charting program, which was implemented throughout the hospital for the doctors and medical staff. This new system improved charting accuracy as well as patient safety and care.
Hollie and Butch homeschooled all three of their children. The oldest daughter graduated with Honors in July of 2020 from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Management. Their son graduated with Honors in December 2022 from SVSU (Saginaw Valley State University) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Major in Graphic Design and a Minor in Marketing. The youngest daughter Graduated from homeschool in June of 2021 and is currently working, while considering college. Their son, Lonni, aka: LonBon22, designed the logo for Mother Declutter.
Hollie and Butch have been married for 33 years and counting. They had a super cute and loving, 13 1/2 year old golden retriever named Jake, who sadly passed away on February 1, 2021. He had a good life filled with a whole lot of love!! |
Hollie has always had the ambition of an entrepreneur and maintains a wide range of interests. However, her heart has always been in helping others improve all aspects of their life, including getting rid of their excess clutter so they can live a life of freedom, fun, and less stress. She wants you to be happy and love the life you were given!
For recreation, Hollie enjoys spending time with her husband, and their three children. She also loves traveling, camping, hiking, walking/running, exploring, baking, going to car shows, and so much more!

Mother Declutter likes to salvage everyday items, along with vintage and antique collectibles, to ensure they are saved from going to the landfill, or from damage due to environmental factors or neglect. They stand by the old saying that "one person's trash is another person's treasure", as they have seen first hand how it has helped and benefited numerous people in different ways.
Even though Mother Declutter is a business and needs to make money to thrive, Hollie and Butch also consider it a way for them to carry out their mission of helping others. It serves as a blessing to all involved, from the people who donate their items, to the buyers or people in need, as well as the community and to Mother Declutter. It goes full circle and everyone wins, including the environment.
