Are you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated from too much stuff?
Do your children, family, friends, or spouse always harp on you to "get rid of all that junk" or say "you have too much clutter"? How about the one we hear from people all the time, when their kids tell them, "We are throwing all this stuff in a dumpster when you die, because we don't want this stuff"?
Do you have too much stuff weighing you down or stressing you out? Does it feel like the clutter keeps piling up? Are you hanging onto things you know you will never use or things that need to be fixed? Maybe you inherited a relative's possessions and need to clean out the remaining items. Perhaps you just had enough of storing stuff you never use or no longer want. Are you ready to purge all the unnecessary things taking up useful space and break free from all the clutter?

Here at Mother Declutter we do living and deceased estate clean outs, as well as moving clean outs and more! We get your home emptied of the items you no longer want or need. It helps you with the downsizing process so you can move forward. When we do the evaluation, we determine the value of the items you are giving to us to remove from your home or business. Depending on the saleable value (the values of what we feel we could sell the items for) we will prorate the cost of the cleanout job. If there is enough items of value to compensate us for the labor, services, and costs involved, you may get a significant discount or possibly get the cleanout job done for free!! So, it is important for you to call us BEFORE selling, giving items away, donating, calling other service companies, throwing these away, or renting a dumpster... as you could be getting rid of items that could get you our services at a very low cost, or possibly free.
There is NO need to call multiple service companies, or for you to do all donating. We take care of it ALL!! We remove all the contents from your home that you don't want, then we sort and process it all. Let us do all the work! You only have ONE thing to do... just take out the items you want to keep! That is it!! No other work on your behalf is needed. Let us make this as easy as possible for you!
We sell some of the items donated, but we also donate many items we get too! We sort through and clean the items that you donate to us. We also fix some items, if it is possible to repair them. Then we figure out the most appropriate thing to do with it. We belong to several groups online where we monitor the needs of others who have lost everything in a fire, got a divorce and are starting over without anything, or have medical issues and are in need of items, plus college students, single moms or dads, etc.
Sometimes there are families who have fallen on hard times and their children need clothes, shoes, hats, or even Christmas gifts. We also get requests from people in need through various resources, such as school teachers who know of kids or families in need, churches, social workers, and random people who know of people with specific needs. We donate the appropriate items to match the need.

It is so sad when you see furniture left out to rot, when someone else doesn't have any. The dresser that is broken or missing a drawer can be repurposed into a toy box, cat house, a bench, unique shelves, and so much more. How about all those toys left out or not taken care of? There are so many kids that don't have any toys and would be so grateful to have them. You know those clothes that don't fit you? They might fit someone who needs them. What about that old broken jewelry that you don't wear? I know so many artists and talented people who can make beautiful jewelry and artwork out of junk pieces, who would be delighted to have those broken pieces sitting in your drawer.
One person's trash is another person's treasure, need, want, or blessing in disguise.

When decluttering, everything counts! The things you might think are garbage... may truly be another person's treasure, need, want, or blessing in disguise. Everything from the tiniest items to the largest, new or old, working and not working, etc.
Things like: ink pens, door knobs, old keys, pots and pans, dishes, clothes, toys, broken or unused jewelry and watches, luggage, make-up, hats, belts, ties, furniture, old and new electronics, board games, video games, educational items, books, auto parts, automobiles with a clean title, boats, trailers, motors, campers, lawn and garden tools and equipment, purses, wallets, shoes, medical items, clocks, holiday decorations, household items, appliances, shelving units or bookcases, cameras, heaters, air conditioners, bicycles and other sporting goods, exercise equipment, stereos, photographs, photo albums, pet supplies or toys, art supplies, hobby and craft items, and so much more. If you look in every room in your house, and every drawer and cupboard, plus the garage, basement, attic, shed, barn and yard... you are bound to find so many items that you either don't use, or have forgotten about, and items you very likely won't ever use. Yet, it is taking up precious space, making clutter, and it could be something that someone else needs, wants, or could do something useful with. |
Even though Mother Declutter is community-mission-minded, prioritizing in helping others, we are a business and this is our livelihood of putting food on the table, and providing for our family as well. Since we do not charge for the labor of many of the cleanouts and decluttering jobs that we do, we earn our money by removing the clutter, then sorting, cleaning, fixing, and selling the items we clean out. It is labor intensive and very time-consuming, but we enjoy doing it.
We are helping people declutter the things they don't want or need. The process we use of selling, donating, repurposing, and recycling is a great way to help others get what they need or want, which prevents things from sitting around to rust, deteriorate, or become damaged. It also helps the environment by repurposing items instead of sending them to the landfill. So, even though we sell many of the items we receive to make a living and keep this going, we also donate a huge portion of items and give back to the people in our community in so many ways. Both our buyers and our donation recipients are extremely grateful to own the items they get and are able to put them to good use. Basically, we all work together to benefit and bless each other, while contributing in different ways.

When the funds are available in our "Mother's Love Fund", we donate to people in need, within the Saginaw, Bay, and Midland Counties. We also donate to animal shelters, struggling parents and their children, plus we wholeheartedly support our Veterans! The money may also go into maintaining our vehicles, and helping us grow, so that we may continue to, and find better ways, to serve the people in our community.
